Just one small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day.
Your thoughts are powerful. The ability of your brain to hold 70,000 thoughts in mind at once is an amazing feature, but it can also work against you if you allow negative or unproductive thoughts to enter your conscious stream of thought. Sometimes these thoughts build up and cause stress, anxiety and other mental unease.
The good news is you can actively choose mindful thoughts to help prevent your mind from going down a negative path. You can change your whole day by choosing just one positive thought every morning. Here are some ideas on how to do that:
1.Smile and be grateful
Smile and be grateful for all the things in your life that you love. Even if your job stresses you out, be grateful for the people in your life. Think about your favorite color, food, time of day. Be grateful for all of these things. Smile. If you do this, I promise that your life will start to look a lot better.
2. Be mindful of what you’re thinking
Be mindful of what you’re thinking and write it down. Journaling is a selfless act that allows you to get your thoughts on paper without judgment or criticism. It allows you to go back and see what was on your mind months or even years after you wrote it down.
3. Do something nice everyday
Do something nice for someone else every day, no matter how small that something may be. It could be telling a friend you appreciate them, or helping someone up off the floor when they fall down. In this world where there’s so much hate, is it possible that doing something nice for someone else will affect them in a positive way, and maybe just maybe they will go out of their way to.
4. Let go of your past mistakes
Do you often think about your past mistakes? Keep in mind that the present is leading up to the future, which will be based on your current thoughts and actions. Let go of your past mistakes and focus on building a better today.
5. Love yourself
Love yourself first and foremost . Without self-love, you cannot love anyone else or expect to be treated well by them. Be your own best friend!
6. Focus on your goals
Focus on your goals every day and imagine what the future holds for you if your goals are met. Keep seeing yourself achieving those goals in your mind’s eye. This will help you to stay motivated.
7. You are Great
Think about all of your talents and skills, big or small, and be grateful for them. Chances are someone else could benefit from your unique gifts.
8. Not focus on the negative aspects.
When you have a bad day, try not to focus on the negative aspects. Instead, think about what went right and why it was a good day. You can learn and grow from both the negative and positive aspects of your life.
9. Make time for yourself
Make time for yourself every day, no matter how short it is. Give yourself some quiet time to do the things you enjoy. It can be anything from a 10 minute time out to a long bubble bath, but every day make sure you do something for yourself and your wellbeing.

19. Remember, everyone makes mistakes sometimes
Everyone makes mistakes; don’t beat yourself up over them . Learn from your past and keep looking forward. Remember that no one is perfect and try not to be so hard on yourself.
20. Stop competing with other people
Don’t compete with everyone all the time . You will only end up feeling stressed out and exhausted. Comparing yourself to others is a bad thing because you can never reach their standards-and that’s okay! Everyone has different strengths and abilities, so focus on yours.
